Owen Connors is an artist and writer currently based in Tāmaki Makaurau. They studied at Elam School of Fine Arts, Auckland University and The Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, Naropa University, Colorado. Their work explores queer collectivity, craft based processes, divination and contemporary and historical experiences of living with HIV. Recent exhibitions include SISSYMANCY, play_station, Wellington, 2019; Fool For a World That Will End (w/ Daniel John Corbett Sanders), Mother Gallery, Tāmaki Makaurau, 2018 & Crudo or Perilous Might, MEANWHILE, Wellington, 2018. Their writing has been published through Artspace Aotearoa, Matters Journal and Minarets. They are currently a facilitator at Neo gracie and co editor of hard press.
