Energetic, experimental and transformative – NAP Contemporary on The Tennant Creek Brio

NAP Contemporary co-directors Erica Tarquinio and Riley Davison present some background on The Tennant Creek Brio.

Based in the Barkly regional town of Tennant Creek, The Brio’s work is a dynamic interplay of influences including Aboriginal desert traditions, abstraction, action painting, found or junk art, street art, and art activism.

Beginning as an art therapy program in 2016, The Brio have rapidly distinguished themselves as arguably the most innovative and exciting new voice in Australian art, with several major institutional shows and recent sell out commercial exhibitions.

Come and hear why they are poised for international recognition.
