Fiona Pardington is hailed as one of Australasia’s leading artists. Her practice has been celebrated with a 30-year survey at City Gallery Wellington, Auckland Art Gallery, and Christchurch Art Gallery. Pardington now carries the titles; MNZM and Chevalier de l’Ordre Française des Arts et des Lettres in recognition of her contribution to the Arts.
In this very special artist’s talk, Fiona will discuss her most recent body of work, ‘At the Crossroads at Midnight’ which combines tin types and press photos, with century-old glass cullets dug out of the defunct AKRO Agate factory in Akron, Ohio; unearthed and then combined through the lens.
