In 2011 Jensen Gallery opened a second space in Sydney and rebranded the Auckland gallery as Fox Jensen. Over the last 5 years both galleries have continued to promote the merits of an international discourse within contemporary art. Towards this end the galleries have presented major projects from artists drawn from Europe, America and Australasia, including solo shows with Imi Knoebel, Winston Roeth, Günter Umberg, Geoff Thornley, Tomislav Nikolic and Jude Rae.
Curated projects also form a vital part of the galleries’ programme and in recent years both spaces have hosted The Authority of Death, The Architecture of Colour and RIM. These exhibitions further extend the international embrace and are predicated on a seamless presentation of the best New Zealand and Australian work within this broader, richer context.
