Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery was established in 1982. The striking and flexible gallery space has been used as a platform for the most innovative forms of contemporary art, including immersive installations by Yayoi Kusama, film exhibitions by Isaac Julien and sculptural works by Tatzu Nishi. The gallery focuses on the long-term representation of its artists, fostering the careers of some of the most influential Australian artists working today, including David Noonan, Tracey Moffatt, Hany Armanious, James Angus, Dale Frank and Bill Henson. Roslyn Oxley9 Gallery has held a diverse schedule of exhibitions by international artists, including major solo shows by Wim Delvoye, Yayoi Kusama, Hernan Bas, Tracey Emin, Robert Mapplethorpe, Pierre et Gilles and Moriko Mori. Gallery artists have consistently been selected for biennales and international survey exhibitions such as the Venice Biennale and Documenta. Recent exhibition achievements of the gallery’s artists include: Fiona Hall at the 56th Venice Biennale (representing Australia) and Tracey Moffatt is to represent Australia at 2017 Venice Biennale
