Kenneth Johnson and Deborah White established Whitespace in 2002 after returning from five years working in the arts community in Melbourne.
Whitespace maintains an ambitious program of exhibitions and off-site projects and have toured artists extensively to Art Fairs and shows in New York, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Sydney, London and Glasgow amongst many others.
Co-director of Whitespace, Deborah White has a great belief in the power of the collective and has been active in establishing and working with many community groups and visual arts trusts over the years. Some of these include Tautai Contemporary Pacific Arts Trust, Uptown Arts Trust, and NZ Contemporary Art Trust.
Exhibited Artists: Andy Leleisi’uao, Nandita Kumar, Greer Twiss, Jim Cooper, Lauren Lysaght, Niki Hastings McFall, Julie Ross and Sue Hawker.
