Bowen Galleries has been operating in Wellington since 1981. The gallery’s priority is to sell its artists’ work as effectively as possible; meeting their needs as professional artists, providing a base for them to work, representing them to the public galleries, and developing international opportunities.
For more than 30 years, Bowen Galleries has been helping clients put together collections of significant value by New Zealand and Australian artists.
Featured artist Geoff Dixon is a New Zealander living in Queensland. He has regular exhibitions in Bowen Galleries and is collected avidly in New Zealand and Australia. Geoff paints birds, using them to represent a broad overview illustrating his concern for our trashing the environment. Just before last Christmas, Geoff visited Tiritiri Matangi to see the sanctuary for himself and this unique trip informs his Auckland Art Fair work.
Also at the Auckland Art Fair, Bowen Galleries is launching Hearsay, a collaborative artist book between painter Euan Macleod, writer Lloyd Jones and printmaker Ron McBurnie.
Exhibited Artists: Geoff Dixon, Euan Macleod, Lloyd Jones (writer), and Ron McBurnie.
