Born 1990, lives and works in Shanghai, China. He graduated from the China Academy of Art with a BA from the department of Public Art in 2013, concluding his studies with an MA in the Media department. A multimedia artist and curator, his work is influenced by social ethnography, theatrical elements and experimentation in film.
His work has been the subject of major museum solo shows, including Hu Weiyi, Asian Art Center, Taipei, Taiwan, 2015; and No Express – Hu Weiyi, Ullens Center for Contemporary Art, Beijing, China, 2015.
