To experience the full spectrum of art in Tāmaki Makaurau, head out to West Auckland and visit public galleries McCahon House and Te Uru Waitākere Contemporary, or check out Vunilagi Vou in East Tāmaki.

After you’ve perused the Fair, be sure to include a trip to Waiheke Island – just 40 minutes from downtown Auckland on the ferry, Waiheke Island features some of New Zealand’s best wineries, eateries and stunning beaches.

Extend your stay and further explore the region’s North with a visit to Matakana to visit Brick Bay Wine & Sculpture Trail.  Find 200 acres of boutique vineyard, an extensive outdoor sculpture trail, an architectural-award winning restaurant, in the midst of an idyllic landscape of farmed pasture and native bush.
