- New Zealand
Since opening in 2007 Tim Melville has presented a carefully focussed programme of contemporary New Zealand and Australian art. The gallery is best known for its representation of emerging NZ artists and for introducing a roster of indigenous Australian artists to a new trans-Tasman audience. As well as senior Aboriginal (Gija) painters Lena Nyadbi, Mabel Juli and Phyllis Thomas, Tim Melville is proude to represent Sydney-based artist Jonathan Jones (Wiradjuri / Kamilaroi) and the late (Kaiadilt) painter Mrs Gabori.
The gallery relocated to a new space in Auckland’s Grey Lynn / K Rd art precinct in June 2015.
