PERFORMANCE ART
For the first time, the Fair will introduce Performance Art, a series of one-off performances by contemporary artists throughout Opening Night. The Opening Night is an all-encompassing evening of art and culture. Mingle and celebrate with galleries, collectors, artists, and other art enthusiasts.
MICHAEL ZAVROS
In a celebratory mood, renowned Australian artist Michael Zavros, presented by STARKWHITE, performed his work Fifty in partnership with Champagne Perrier Jouët. The performance, based around a Champagne tower involves the audience and reminds us that art and life should always include moments of celebration and togetherness, a perfect start to the fair.
THE NEW ZEALAND DANCE COMPANY
The New Zealand Dance Company (NZDC) presented a mesmerising performance – an excerpt from IMPRINT. Fresh off the heels of standing ovations and sold-out shows across Europe and Aotearoa New Zealand, IMPRINT is part of the captivating double bill WHENUA, showcasing the unique creative voices of Aotearoa New Zealand. LIVE DJ
Known by her DJ alias, Bontempo, Bonnie has quickly established her place among notable New Zealand dance music selectors. Bontempo’s distinctive sound has earned her recognition and her sets feature deep, smooth basslines and dreamy synths through a range of genres. Bontempo will spin a special DJ set throughout Opening Night.
