Martin Browne Contemporary is thrilled to be presenting the work of Tamaki Makaurau/Auckland born artist Michael McHugh at Aotearoa Art Fair 2025.

After a prolonged period of being unable to paint Michael McHugh visited Tahiti and was entranced by the lush landscapes and the ever-shifting light. Seeking inspiration and rejuvenation, McHugh began to experiment with form, pattern and colour, developing the armature for this dreamlike suite of works.
