Here was founded in the middle of the first lockdown in New Zealand, when most of New Zealand’s magazines, and almost all of its architecture titles in particular, closed virtually overnight.

We mourned their loss, and then we saw a chance to do things better.

Here is an architecture magazine dedicated to New Zealand houses, with a particular focus on the progressive and the new. The magazine is about architecture, obviously, but it’s also about art, local business and community. It’s about here, this little country at the bottom of the world. It is a response to New Zealanders’ overwhelming desire to see and know about things that come from here.
